DevOps Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and motivated DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in software development, system administration, and automation, with a passion for optimising and improving the software delivery pipeline. The DevOps Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and manage scalable and efficient infrastructure, tools, and processes.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with development, testing, and operations teams to identify bottlenecks, improve release cycles, and ensure smooth software deployment.
• Design, implement, and manage Continuous Integration (CI)
  and Continuous Deployment (CD)pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or CircleCI.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and management using tools like Ansible, Terraform, or Chef.
• Monitor and maintain system stability, performance, and security using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK stack.
• Implement and manage containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes to enable scalable and resilient applications.
• Collaborate with developers to containerize applications and optimise them for cloud-native environments.
• Manage and optimise cloud-based infrastructure on platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Ensure effective backup, disaster recovery, and data retention strategies are in place.
• Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in DevOps and cloud computing.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across development and production environments.
• Participate in on-call rotations and provide timely response to incidents and alerts.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience( up to 2 years) as a DevOps Engineer or similar role, with a strong understanding of software development methodologies.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Ruby.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, CircleCI, etc.).
• Familiarity with configuration management tools (Ansible, Terraform, Chef, Puppet, etc.).
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.).
• Solid understanding of cloud computing concepts and experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Strong system administration skills (Linux/Unix).
• Knowledge of networking, security, and monitoring best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
